A gift for FIPPP allows us to grow. Our work is important. According to The Sentencing Project, there are nearly two million people currently incarcerated in the United States. And often, the resources to help them successfully integrate back into their communities after they have served their time are available. At any given time, there are almost one million people out on parole. We believe communication and sharing these diverse stories are key to both helping remove the stigma of incarceration and fostering understanding on both the societal and human levels.

We plan to expand our programming to bring additional formerly incarcerated performers to our stage, sharing their compelling stories. We also want to continue to provide reduced-cost, sliding-scale show tickets, as well as donated seats to our shows, so that no one will be turned away from a Formerly Incarcerated People's Performance Project show due to a lack of funds.
